As part of a government led initiative to encourage better dialogue between GP Practices and patients, The Avenue Surgery formed a Patient Participation Group (PPG) in 2011.

The Group, known as The Avenue Patient Forum, aims to represent patients in appropriate matters, bringing to our attention, areas where patients feel improvements can be made. Working together, we have implemented a number of positive changes over the years.

At present, there are approximately 10 members of the group. We aim for members to be representative of the Surgery's demographics and we are particularly keen to recruit new members in the 16-45 age group.

The PPG is chaired by Nigel Collins. If you would like to contact him, or any member of the Avenue Patient Forum, please email them at: ThePatient.AvenueForum@glos.nhs.uk
